Quote Of The Day

From TMZ:

"Thank Anna for making me famous. When you think of Anna, think of red, white and pink hearts. She was love as she taught love. She was the breadwinner and supported four people by baring her breasts and genitals for men and women. She was an entertainer who will be missed."
- Bobby Trendy

"baring her breasts..." What does that mean?

Back in 2002 I was visiting my friend Terry from Chicago in LA. One nite we went to a small, quiet, neighborhoody, not-quite-a-dive (yet) little gay bar. This place was like the Caliph in San Diego but w/o the karoke. Bobby Trendy was sitting next to us with two unassuming guys. It was right before the Anna Nicole Show burst onto the scene. Terry had been reading about the show and had heard of, and seen pics of, Bobby. Terry assured me this guy "would have his 15 minutes one day..." Terry was right. I remember that Bobby was no where near as outrageous as he was on the show. He was definitely a big prissy queen but hardly any more than any other you'd find in Dallas, Louisville or Witchita.

Also sitting up at the bar was Chi Chi LaRue trying to be alone but being pestered by some twinky groupies. It was a sad little scene. It was like poor Chi Chi wanted to just get away from all the glam/stand and model bars and hide in that place... but could not. The tweaked out twinkies would not live him/her alone. Perhaps they were looking to be discovered. RYAN.

I watched the DVD of The Anna Nicole Show about three days ago and I'm so horified and disgusted that Bobby Trendy is now acting like he was her BFF. Seriously, if you watch that, she totally hated him and thought he was ripping her off. Now he's all over the TV saying they were just so close. He is SO creepy!

Also in watching that show, I felt way bad for Howard K. Stern. You could tell from watching it that he and her were so close, but now he's getting called a murderer in the press.

People need to go back and watch that show again. Aside from possibly clearing Stern's name, it's also way more entertaining if you look at it years later. I remember how shocking we thought it was then, but compared to stuff like Shooting Sizemore and other "breakdown of a human being" shows, it's totally sweet. Oh! The DVD also has a Christmas special where she made out with Margaret Cho and commentary by Miss Anna Nicole Smith herself.
